Hello, Steve. This always worked for me, first look around the room and see a guy you want to talk to, look at him and smile, but not too much. Then look away and talk to your friends. Then look back and give the small smile again. I guarantee he will walk over and start a conversation, probably with, "You have a pretty smile".
